Supporting the Radio 4 Christmas appeal for the 10th year running
For the 10th year running, Sesui have leant our technology, time and support to our friends at St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity in running the BBC Radio 4 Christmas Appeal.
Throughout the month of December, St Martin’s partner with the BBC to raise awareness of homelessness and generate vital financial support for people in need of help in London and across the UK.
The appeal relies on an army of volunteers, including the Vicar of St Martins, Sam Wells, as well as many BBC Radio 4 broadcasters, such as Saturday Show presenter, Aasmah Mir, Comedian Hugh Dennis, and Gardeners’ question time stalwart Kathy Clugston. Celebrity and non-celebrity volunteers man a pop-up contact centre non-stop between 8am and 10pm on the appeal day, an effort which, in the last two years alone has enabled the appeal to accept over £5m in donations.
Thanks to Sesui, that contact centre doesn’t need to be based in expensive dedicated office space. Managed from the cloud, it can be up and operating in any location, allowing volunteers and celebrities to take calls and accept payments securely.
So far this year, the charity has received more calls than ever before, but thanks to Sesui’s technology, not one will be met with an engaged tone, so no donation is missed.
More information about the appeal can be found at the bbc website and if you would like to make a donation of your own, you can do so by calling 0800 082 82 84
