Sesui Sponsors Fifth Jai Memorial Golf Tournament
Each year, Sesui is a proud sponsor of the Jai Memorial Golf Tournament, which, this year, was organised in support of two life-changing charities: Hearts of Oak – The Oak Lodge School Foundation Trust and St Luke’s Hospice. The 2017 event took place on Saturday 15th July at the Aldenham Golf & Country Club and raised more than £3,500.
Now in its fifth year, it’s an important date on the calendar for us at Sesui. Organised by Suresh and Vidya Vaghela of the Jai Medical Centre, the golf tournament and evening celebration is an annual charitable event in memory of son, Jai. Our Managing Director, Lee Bryant, and Customer Support Manager, James Hookins, were delighted to join the day’s golfing, and Sesui was pleased for the opportunity to once again provide the trophies, shirts and hats for participants.
The tournament saw a brilliant turnout of 60 golfers, who played for one of two teams named after the charities. Each team was split into sets of two golfers that teed off in intervals, with Hearts of Oak taking the win, having led from the beginning – and even after the half way beers!
Later, 100-plus guests enjoyed an evening of superb Indian cuisine, drinks and dancing. And while there wasn’t a raffle this year, Lee didn’t leave empty-handed. He was presented ‘the bandit award’ having finished the golf with a “suspiciously high score” for his handicap!
