Clinical Commissioning Groups Association

Sesui attends launch at the House of Lords

js-photoOn Wednesday 15 June 2016, Sesui’s Head of Sales, Julian Sammells, was one of just 52 invitees to the launch of the Clinical Commissioning Groups Association (CCGA) at the House of Lords.

Established as an independent association to support Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and healthcare professionals, the CCGA will provide complimentary information, such as new service and product developments, to aid the effective management of practices through cost-effective solutions.

The reception, hosted by Lord Ribeiro on behalf of the CCGA and Clinical Support Services/You Brand, took place (aptly!) in the House of Lord’s Attlee Room, with presentations and talks from a number of senior industry figures.

“The reception was both a pleasure and privilege to attend, and a rare opportunity to meet with professionals from a range of backgrounds brought together by their common interests in healthcare,” said Julian. “Chairs of CCGs, journalists, professors from various institutes and commercial representatives united to celebrate the leading-edge research currently ongoing under the NHS, and to discuss the processes needed to ensure progress continues within tightening budget constraints.”

One example of how the CCGA will help was explained by Mr. Peter Masters of Caradoc Medical Services, a buying consortium and CCGA supporting body that negotiates the best possible prices and terms for the purchase of goods and services by GP practices. “Sesui is a listed supplier of Caradoc and so, for me, Mr Masters’ talk on the importance of technology suppliers to the NHS was particularly pertinent,” Julian commented.

“Cloud-based technologies by their very nature present countless opportunities for more functional and flexible services at lower costs, which Sesui is already demonstrating for a number of healthcare providers. It was great to have the opportunity to discuss these results with attendees of the event, while also exploring the broader potential of Sesui and fellow technology innovators to contribute to such an important national initiative,” he concludes.
