LCW is a london-based 111 and IUC provider covering a patient population of around 3.5 million, encompassing multiple services including dental, care home and Out of Hours.
As the impact of COVID 19 hit in March this year, LCW faced a number of new challenges which appeared almost overnight, including:
- Massive increases in inbound calls
- An immediate need to decentralise patient care, with secure, remote working for clinicians and video consultations
- Temporary call handling sites to triage the huge numbers of calls coming in
