Oxford cloud-based telephony innovators, Sesui, honoured with prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise
21 April, 2016: Sesui, the intelligent cloud-based telephony and contact centre pioneer, has today announced it has received a 2016 Queen’s Award for Enterprise – the UK’s highest accolade for business success – following a rigorous and highly competitive judging process.
One of only 48 companies in the South East awarded for outstanding business achievement this year, the Oxford Science Park-located Sesui has been recognised within the innovation category on account of its in-house i-Platform development that underpins all its cloud-based telephony solutions for driving positive organisational change. Intelligent and location-independent, the i-Platform, wholly owned and developed by Sesui, is compatible with all and any existing client infrastructure, benefitting customers with significant cost savings and the flexibility to easily scale the solution and implement system changes.
Containing sophisticated and reliable call management functionality, including call routing, recording, messaging, queuing and real-time reporting on all call metrics, the i-Platform is guaranteed to deliver even in the event of a disaster recovery incident. Within the healthcare sector, for example, Sesui’s advanced call recording functionality on all inbound and outbound calls is heavily utilised by primary and urgent care providers across the UK, ensuring patient/advisor recordings are easily located and retrievable over the NHS secure network.
Nigel Tipple, Chief Executive of Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “We are delighted that Sesui has received this prestigious award, which recognises a commitment to providing innovative, market-leading solutions that contribute to the continued economic growth of Oxfordshire. We are proud to have such organisations within our county and we send our sincerest congratulations to everyone involved.”
Lee Bryant, Managing Director, Sesui, commented: “While other cloud-based contact centre providers are restricted by their utilisation of third party telephony platforms, we have focused our efforts on developing our own in-house capabilities. Not only can we pass on significant benefits to our customers with the i-Platform, we have a solid, future-proof foundation for exciting forthcoming telephony solutions, and we’re absolutely delighted our efforts and ambitions have been endorsed by such an illustrious award.
“When establishing Sesui, location was an important consideration for us. We chose to relocate to the Oxford Science Park in 2007 because of its innovative and pioneering reputation as a hub for leading edge organisations at the forefront of technology, research and development. To be recognised as one of this year’s top innovators with a Queen’s Award, not just from Oxford but throughout the South East and indeed the whole of the UK, is a very proud achievement.”
